Wim Koerts       He was born in 1942, and grew up to be a black smith living in the Netherlands. He has been  photographing since 1975 and is self-taught. "I try to photograph what I come across:  as well, living subjects (people) as still life (objects) catch my attention as I try to paint a picture with the persons in  their own element and their surroundings. At one moment this can happen at unforeseeable moments  and other times I work with a more created pose.  I make use of light-fall and line-play to arrange my  compositions so the objects in my photographs, as natural as possible, appear to be unexpected and  dramatic in their environment. This can be as diverse as in the open air of street life or as closed and  private as a theatrical performance hall."
